Joint Custody X Stitzlein 6991 Ewe
RRNN

We are excited to add “Bob” from Karr’s to our 2019 Sire lineup and he saw a lot of action.  Bob is the twin brother to Brooke Kuesel’s popular Division 4 Champ at the 2017 Iowa State Fair .   Joint Custody needs no introduction and the Stitlzein 6991 Ewe was the pick of the ewe lambs at Mike’s in 2014.

Field of Dreams
Centerfield X Fairwether 14-091 (Miller the Driller)

“Field of Dreams” was our exciting new “keeper” ram lamb from 2017. He had a large fan base when visitors viewed him as a ram lamb and his work as a sire has been even more impressive. He balances out nicely from the side and always keeps himself looking his best as he parades around his pen. Probably his biggest asset, however, is his incredible hip structure which includes a big bulging stifle muscle that ties in long and low. Touch and handle is never an issue here, and an added bonus on his lambs is the beautiful white silky smooth pelt that is our trademark.

Pork Chop

Jock Jam (Young Jock) X Fairwether 11-145 (Tuff Duff 155)
QRNN
DOB 2/22/12
Pork Chop has been a barn favorite and has sired an outstanding set of lambs in his initial outing. He has a “changer type” pin set, is deep in his flank and shallow in his chest floor. His lambs are silky hided and have great foot size and bone.  Pork Chop has sired the Grand lamb at the Tri-State Royal, the Grand Suffolk at the Iowa State Fair (open show) , the Grand Suffolk at Nebraska among others. We have used Pork Chop heavily for 2014 lambs. Semen is available on request.

Fuzz Butt

Fuzz Butt
Little Chop X Fairwether 155 daughter
RRNN
DOB 3/7/13
We are not that creative when it comes to naming our rams but in this case the “shoe fits”. uzz Butt is the result of winding up the Tuff Duff genetics on both sides of the pedigree. He is a super fuzzy little fellow with a hip that appears to be chiseled out of granite.   Fuzz Butt is small framed, huge racked, perfect in his edges and has an amazing hip design. He was mated to all our ewe lambs this year and should produce desirable lambs for the southern crowd.

Dough Boy

Dough Boy
Fairwether 13-005
Sired by Fairwether 103 X Miller the Driller

RRNN
DOB  1/4/13
Dough Boy is extremely well balanced and perfect in his skeletal design. He is deep in his flank, expressive in his stifle and powerful in his hip design. He strikes a perfect pose wherever he’s standing.  He also has some great genes.  His mother, a Miller the Driller daughter, is the full sister to the 2009 Denver Grand shown by Kyra Stierwalt and raised by Goedkens. He is sired by our Tuff Duff son, Fairwether 103.  Fairwether 103 X Miller the Driller is also the same genetic combination that produced our 2012 Reserve Grand at Aksarben. Dough Boy was used heavily for 2014 lambs.  Limited semen is available on request.

Holy Grail

Holy Grail
Pork Chop X Tuff Duff
RRNN
DOB 3/9/13
This fellow is a Pork Chop son out of a Tuff Duff daughter shown by the Jaime March family in 2011. He is very wide based and blown apart, moderate in size and extremely powerful in his muscle shape. We think his offspring will be very exciting.

Impact 107
Arms Race x Impact 999

A special thanks to Fred Knop and Hobbs Show lambs for allowing us to purchase the Impact bred stud ram “General”.  General saw significant service for Knops, Hobbs and our flock for 2015.
General’s full brother was named Grand Champion at the 2014 Wisconsin State Fair.
Another full brother was named Reserve Grand Champion at the 2014 New Mexico State Fair.

Jock Jam

"Young Jock" (Long John X Leo) X Impact 670 Y
Jock Jam is an embryo transfer ram purchased in 2011 from Brian Reilley. He is sired by James Duffy's "Young Jock" (Long John X Leo). Jock Jam's mother (Impact 670 y) is one of Brian's most popular wether making ewes in the flock and has produced many top show lambs including the overall Grand at the 2008 Wisconsin State Fair. We are excited to bring in Impact genetics which is blended with the Duffy genetics we have used successfully the past few years.

Fairwether 11-103

Fairwether 11-103
Tuff Duff X Fairwether 1930 (858 Blue Tag daughter)
This is our keeper Tuff Duff ram lamb for 2011. He brings the Tuff Duff shag and bone and combines it with the “858” hip dimension and unprecedented touch and eye appeal. This ram should be our top replacement for Tuff Duff in 2012. His angular body type and shallow chest floor should add some style to the powerful “Leo” genetics that Tuff Duff possessed. His twin brother was one of our top wethers for 2011.

Fairwether 12-44

Fairwether 12-44
SuperDuty X  Fairwether 806
RRNN
This was an AI mating from 2012.  He is sired by Viking Club Lambs Super Duty ram who is responsible for siring the 2012 Ohio State Fair Reserve Grand plus many others. On the female side of the pedigree, his mother has produced many top females in our flock including the mother of Camry’s 2012 Reserve Grand at the Nebraska Breeder’s Classic and Division Reserve at Aksarben.  Last year, 12-44 sired the Reserve Grand 4-H lamb at the Missouri state fair.

Tuff Duff

Wooly Mammoth X Leo Daughter
Tuff Duff is our 2009 blue-chip ram lamb recruit, out of New Mexico, acquired from James Duffy last spring. He is sired by "Wooly Mammoth" and his dam is a "Leo" daughter. We don't out-cross often but this guy could be an "impact player". His strengths include: structural correctness, bone, rib-shape, and touch.

Last Hurrah

Lasting Impression (Schminke) X 620 Daughter
Last Hurrah is our 2009 keeper ram lamb sired by "Lasting Impression" (Schminke) and his Dam (620 daughter) was a former champion in the show ring herself in 2008. His strengths include: structural correctness, hip shape and dimension in all 3 directions, rack shape and loin structure.

Shroyer 13

Edge X FairWether 404
This Edge son made his mark by adding his unbeatable profile to the power in our ewe base. After two highly successful breeding seasons in 2007 and 2008 and siring nearly all our major winners in this time span, 620 continues to be the Brett Favre of the farm. He was injured last season after breeding only a few ewes so we were disappointed not to have many 620 lambs in 2009. His strengths include: structural correctness, balance, eye appeal, bone, body length and rack shape. He throws a combination of style and power.
